NAC hosted a workshop for Immigrants and their allies, “Training for Immigrant Allies in Workplaces, Schools, and Churches” on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Newcomers Access Center in Claremont. The workshop was facilitated by Jonathan Fung, Director of Legal Services at the Immigration Resource Center of San Gabriel Valley (IRCSGV), a DOJ-recognized organization. More than 40 participants attended including volunteers, clients, nonprofit and community leaders, board members, and friends and neighbors from local faith groups. The two-hour presentation included best practices for preventing and responding to constitutional violations, novel legal interpretations, and intimidation tactics by ICE agents.
