NAC was honored to be selected as one of three California nonprofits featured by the California Agriculture Leadership Foundation, an organization that partners with five universities to develop emerging leaders in the agricultural sector. NAC was highlighted alongside Homeboy Industries and AbilityFirst. Nearly forty young agricultural professionals spent the afternoon at NAC, joining clients and several board members for lunch, conversation, and shared learning. The visit offered an opportunity for meaningful connection and a deeper understanding of the newcomer experience.

“Thank you for welcoming the AG Leadership Program’s class 55 to the Newcomers Access Center and for sharing the mission and hear behind your work. Hearing the personal stories of the newcomers from Afghanistan and Ukraine made the experience especially powerful. I was struck by how clearly your values of dignity, service, and joy are reflected in NAC and the community you have built. Our visit meant a lot to all of us and will stay with us as we continue to reflect on our leadership and opportunities for service.”
