Newcomers Access Center is proud to partner with the Los Angeles County Office of Immigrant Affairs (OIA) to host an ongoing series of conversations with a coalition of County departments and community-based organizations providing services and support to immigrants across Southern California.

Following our County-focused Know Your Rights webinar with OIA in February—which highlighted key County resources—we were honored to welcome Director Rigoberto Reyes as the keynote speaker at our annual gala. Building on this momentum, we convened the first of four Quarterly Conversations on May 27, bringing together a growing network of organizations serving immigrant communities. More than 20 groups participated, with additional partners expected to join our next meeting in July.

The goal of this initial convening was to better understand the needs and concerns of directly impacted communities. Moving forward, we will work collaboratively across this coalition to strengthen and adapt our efforts in response to the priorities identified by participants.
